Moms make strollers part of their workout StrollerStrength™ keeps infants in mind

Please read all the information below, print a copy of the
waiver form
, sign, and bring it with you to your first class.

What is StrollerStrength™?
StrollerStrength is a 60 minute stroller exercise class with power walking and light optional jogging that is conducted outdoors. Whole body strengthening/ toning exercises (utilizing tubing, bodyweight and stroller) are incorporated throughout the walk. Class includes warm-up, stretching and of course, interaction between baby and mom/dad.

What are the benefits of StrollerStrength™?
StrollerStrength offers effective and safe cardiovascular and strength conditioning. It allows mom/ dad and baby to exercise in a fun environment without the inconvenience or need of a babysitter. Germs are not transmitted in the outdoor fresh air. Parents enjoy socialization and bonding while the child is exposed to a healthy lifestyle. It has been well documented how exercise can assist in coping with post-partum depression.

How old does the baby have to be to participate in StrollerStrength™?
All children must be a minimum of 6 weeks. The child will have to stay in the stroller for the duration of the class. All new moms (baby less than 12 weeks) are required to have medical clearance from their physician to participate. Clearance letters can be faxed to (702) 363-9176.

What do I bring to class?
We recommend you bring water for you and the baby. A mat or towel is needed for stretching and abdominal work. Exercise tubing is included in the one time registration fee. For your baby you should bring toys, snacks, hats, and sunscreen. We recommend that all parents wear hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Most importantly, you’ll need your stroller.

How should I dress for the class?
You should wear properly fitting and supportive sneakers. It’s also important that you and the baby wear weather appropriate clothing.

What type of stroller would you recommend?
We recommend a safe stroller that is suitable for your child with a sunshade cover. It should have good maneuverability with large wheels. It should posses a secure harness, working brake-system, and a place to store items. The handles should be high enough so that forward bending/stooping is minimal.

How much does it cost and how do I register?
There is a one (1)-time initial registration fee of $60, which includes a carryall bag and three piece tubing set. Each pre-paid class is $20 or you can purchase a month of classes at discounted rates (fees will vary upon month). All classes are pre-paid and non-transferable. StrollerStrength classes honor a "No cancel" policy. Classes are charged to participants whether they show for class or not. There is an injury waiver (please click here to print the waiver form) that must accompany all registrations. Classes are non-refundable.

Classes are at 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays bootcamp (just moms/dads, no kids on Sunday) on the Peccole Ranch Community Trails.
